Ludhiana:The economic offences branch of the Ludhiana Police on Saturday registered a case against the immigration company,US enterprises. Police said the company had allegedly committed fraud worth crores by duping people on the pretext of sending them abroad. Inquiry officer Ranjit Singh said the company was facing a similar FIR in New Delhi as well.

Guinea ambassador addresses students

Ludhiana:As part of the PCTE Group of Institutes’ ‘Your Excellency’ series,the Republic of Guinea Ambassador to India,Alexandre Cece Loua and Ambassador Deepak Vohra,presently advisor to the South Sudan government delivered a talk to first year students in the college. Patar chief guest at literary fest

Ludhiana:A literary function “Humsafar – Kavita Te Patar” was organised by the Academic Social and Cultural Organisation of Punjab (ASCO) in the premises of Kamla Lohtia S D College. Padma Bhushan awardee and renowned Punjab poet,Dr Surjit Patar was the main speaker. Patar conveyed the importance of cultural refinement and morality.

School holds legal literacy seminar

Ludhiana:The Sanatan Vidya Mandir organised a ‘Free Legal Literacy Seminar’ for its students on Saturday. The seminar was conducted by district legal services authority,Ludhiana. The seminar was organised to sensitise the students about the provision of free legal aid to the poor and weaker section of the society.
