Jawahar Lal Oswal bags lifetime

Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal on Tuesday gave away awards during the annual award function of the Ludhiana Management Association.

Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal on Tuesday gave away awards during the annual award function of the Ludhiana Management Association (LMA).

LMA Vardhman award was given to Ashok Mittal,Chancellor of Lovely Professional University (LPU). The university got the best private university of the year award by ASSOCHAM for the year 2012. LMA Dayanand Munjal award for the manager of the year 2012 was given to Dr Kewal Krishan Talwar who is an alumnus of PGIMER.

LMA Trident award for young innovative manager of the year 2012 was given to Anuj Kapuria who is director and CEO,Hi-tech Robotic Systemz Limited,and a pioneer in the field of robotics in India. He returned from the USA and settled in India.

LMA Satpaul Mittal Lifetime Achievement Award of the year was given to Jawahar Lal Oswal of Nahar Spinning Mills while Hari Chand Award for Corporate Citizen of the year 2012 award was given to NRI Anil Monga,whose charitable trust has been serving midday meal to the poor since 1997.

Sohan Lal Pahwa Award for Emerging SME of the year 2012 was given to Vineet Sood who runs a company called Centex Fabrics. Soods company was the only one which was chosen to partner in the royal wedding of Prince William and Kate Middletown for supply of luxury scarves.

Keynote speaker Sunil Kant Munjal asked the LMA members that they should let their children try more and more innovations so that they could come out with their own ideas.
