I owe everything to my mother: Shukla

In Punjab for the first ever show of his play Two to Tango,Three to Jive,Saurabh Shukla well known for his recent roles in Barfi and Jolly LLB,said that he owes all his achievement to his mother who made him what he is today.

In Punjab for the first ever show of his play Two to Tango,Three to Jive,Saurabh Shukla well known for his recent roles in Barfi and Jolly LLB,said that he owes all his achievement to his mother who made him what he is today. “My mother brought the actor inside me to the forefront,” he said.

He added that doing a play after 18 years was an altogether different experience which brought out the real actor inside me. The play was staged at the Guru Nanak Bhawan in Ludhiana late on Saturday and was organised by Ludhiana Sanskritik Samagam. Addressing the media along with television actors Achint Kaur,Sadiya Siddique and Preeti Mamgain who acted in this Hinglish play on Saturday evening at Guru Nanak Bhawan,Shukla who is also writer of the play said that it is all about search of relationships in which a human is involved throughout his life.

“The name itself tells the story. Tango is a dance which explores the chemistry between two souls and jive is a wild dance which is between more than two people. So when a human searches for happiness from someone other than his or her soulmate,jive is what happens when a third person enters. But in the end,in this never ending search for happiness it always your soulmate in whom you find ultimate happiness. A comedy based play,it explores life of common people who search for happiness in relationships,” Shukla said. The play was staged for first time in Punjab.

Preeti Mamgain who also wrote the story for Bade Achhe Lagte Hain said that audiences simply do not accept the good scripts and content due to which it does not get TRPs and thus makers are forced to shut such shows after few months. “I would like to ask the audience as to why good content is not accepted?” she said.

The two leading ladies of Indian television,Achint Kaur and Sadiya Siddique,who began their journey with serial Banegi Apni Baat on Zee TV said that this is their first stint with Punjab and they love the food and language of state.

Siddique who recently played the role of an inspiring teacher in Balika Vadhu serial on Colors said,“I might be back in serial if storyline demands and if Anandi,the protagonist faces any other trouble.”
