A blazing century from Manpreet Gony helped MCA Cricket Academy defeat Mohali Gymkhana by 50 runs in the final to win the JAL Mohali Premier League held at Yadavindra Public School on Sunday. MCA elected to bat first after winning the toss. However,their decision backfired as both their openers returned to the pavilion inside the first six overs. Nitin then played a sensible innings of 50 runs that provided some stability to MCA batting. Later,Manpreet played some audacious shots and sent the opposition team on a leather hunt. His century included four boundaries and seven towering sixes. His innings came to an end when going for a big shot he was caught off the bowling of Navdeep Singh. MCA innings ended at 191 runs for the loss of seven wickets in the stipulated 25 overs. Kamal Walia and Navdeep Singh picked up two wickets each.
