DMRC team visits city

To make an assessment of the Ludhiana metro project,a Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) team,led by Assistant General Manager R G Sharma,visited Ludhiana today.

To make an assessment of the Ludhiana metro project,a Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) team,led by Assistant General Manager R G Sharma,visited Ludhiana today. They did a field survey to get an idea about the land acquisition,actual design etc.

The detailed project report (DPR) was submitted by the state government in 2008 and after that there had been some demography changes.

India has strongly condemned Pakistan’s recent military actions along the Afghan border, accusing Islamabad of sheltering and sponsoring terrorist organisations amid escalating tensions between the two neighbours. At a press briefing on Thursday, Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal also underlined New Delhi’s support for Afghanistan’s sovereignty and independence.
