Police do not explain how waiters will identify who is having liquor or not

Acting tough on all those who consume liquor while sitting in cars,Ludhiana Police today called a meeting of the restaurant owners who serve food to customers in cars. Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Gurpreet Singh Toor stated that restaurant owners have been ordered not to serve food to the customers who are consuming liquor in a car.

If any violation is found, the police will register a first information report (FIR) against the restaurant owner and customer as well. ADCP Satvir Singh Atwal stated that people order for food and snacks inside their cars from nearby restaurants and sit for hours together enjoying their drinks in their vehicle.

This creates traffic problems as well because vehicles are parked on road sides for hours together.

However, the police authorities failed to explain how the waiters serving food would identify who is having drinks or not.

Atwal, however, said,“The waiters will simply have to refuse serving food to all those who want to enjoy drinks in cars because drinking is not allowed in public places.”
