The officers of various government departments were taken to task when Deputy Commissioner Rahul Tiwari asked them to run fast so as to join him on time. The DC was inspecting various Dhussi Bundh sites.

The DC however reached every spot well in time and was seen waiting for the officers from other departments for atleast 15- 20 minutes. This happened at Shergarh,Dhulewal,Sansowal Khurd. The DC categorically told the officers to reach in time at the next sight or he will call out the names of lazy officers in public.

DC saw the officers from Power corporation, drainage department,PWD etc coming at their ease doing catwalk while a few were deliberately walking slow to avoid spoiling of clothes and shoes. The DC waiting at the sight along with former MP Sharanjit Singh Dhillon said,“I am waiting at this bundh sight for the past 20 minutes and all of you are coming at a leisure pace. What will be your response in case of emergency? Exercise a bit and remain active.”

The deputy commissioner was visibly charged up at every site and was seen almost running, while his colleagues were finding hard to keep up with him. The DC hinted that his over-weight colleagues need to remain active.

At Hadiwal,no representative from the police department was at spot and Dhillon took the police department to task. After getting a hard lecture in public at Hadiwal, the officers were seen running from the next spot onwards, some drenched in sweat while others muddied.

The DC,however, said,“While at your job, don’t worry about your clothes and general appearance.”
