Cong to protest against policy for colonisers

To condemn the new policy of the Punjab government for colonisers and property developers,Congress councillors along with some block presidents,will stage a protest against the Ludhiana Municipal Corporation on Friday outside the MC headquarters at Mata Rani Chowk.

Addressing a meeting of the party’s block presidents at Congress Bhawan on Thursday,District Congress Committee (Urban) president Pawan Dewan said the new policy framed by the state government encouraged bureaucracy and corruption.

MC Opposition Leader Hem Raj Aggarwal and senior Congress spokesperson Parminder Mehta said colonisers were forced to come out to the streets,following the state government’s decision to increase fee for regularisation of unauthorised colonies in Punjab.
