CMCH seeks funds for 4-yr-old cancer patient

Christian Medical College and Hospital has appealed for financial help for the treatment of a four-year-old child.

Christian Medical College and Hospital (CMCH) has appealed for financial help for the treatment of a four-year-old child. According to a hospital release,“Bhageshwari is a four-year-old girl who has been diagnosed with intra-abdominal Burkitt’s lymphoma. This is an aggressive type or cancer affecting the lymph nodes. If treated appropriately,the cancer can be cured. However,she needs to be initiated on chemotherapy urgently.”

The approximate expenditure for this would be about Rs 6 lakh over the next four-five months. Her father is a helper in a store who earns Rs 5,000 per month and he has another girl child who is Bhageshwari’s twin. Christian Medical College and Hospital is providing free bed charges and arranging some free medicines. However,the added expenses need to be met.
