Police on Monday booked a 23-year-old man for raping a 4-year-old girl in New Madhopuri area. The accused,Umesh Kumar,lived next door to the victims house and he entered her house when her parents were away for work. Her mother works as a domestic help in the nearby houses while father is a rickshaw puller. My two daughters were playing outside while the third one was inside the room. When I came back from work in the afternoon,I was shocked to see Umesh lean over my daughter. She was bleeding. I raised the alarm and the neighbours came to help me, said the victims mother. The mohalla residents caught Umesh and beat him mercilessly. Later,they handed him over to the police. The victim was rushed to Civil Hospital. SHO Narinder Pal said they would be producing the accused in court for further course of action.
