After UP Jodo Yatra, Congress lines up a series of yatras in 100-day ‘action plan’
On January 14, when party leader Rahul Gandhi would embark on a 6,713-km-long Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra from Manipur to Mumbai, Congress leaders in UP would take out “Nyaya Mashal Yatra” in support of Rahul’s yatra.

With the conclusion of the 18-day Uttar Pradesh Jodo Yatra in Lucknow on Saturday, the Congress in Uttar Pradesh has lined up a series of yatras and programmes as part of its “100-day action plan” to reach out to voters as well as party cadres ahead of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
This was decided at a meeting of senior party leaders chaired by newly appointed AICC general secretary in charge of UP, Avinash Pande, and state party unit chief Ajat Rai in Lucknow on Saturday.
To begin with, the party will launch “Samvad Yatra” in every district and panchayat in the state in the coming days “to connect and establish a dialogue with the cadre as well as public”.
On January 14, when party leader Rahul Gandhi would embark on a 6,713-km-long Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra from Manipur to Mumbai, Congress leaders in UP would take out “Nyaya Mashal Yatra” in support of Rahul’s yatra.
In Uttar Pradesh, Rahul’s yatra would cover 1,074 km across 20 districts, including Varanasi, Prayagraj, Amethi, Raebareli, Lucknow, Bareilly, Aligarh, and Agra, for 11 days.
From January 26, the UP Congress would launch another pad yatra at every block level culminating in every district headquarters on January 30 with recitation of “Ram Dhun” to mark Mahatma Gandhi’s death anniversary.
Meanwhile, the UP Jodo Yatra, led by state Congress chief Ajay Rai concluded in Lucknow on Saturday. The yatra that started from western UP’s Saharanpur on December 20 crisscrossed 11 districts in western and central UP, including Bijnor, Amroha, Moradabad, Rampur, Bareilly, Shahjahanpur, Lakhimpur, Sitapur, and Lucknow.
