After A day-long chintan baithak held in Lucknow recently,BJP leaders will discuss the partys future plan of action in Uttar Pradesh and the campaigns for the next three months in New Delhi on January 4 and 5.
Apart from state coordinators Radha Mohan Singh,Karuna Shukla and Narendra Singh Tomar,senior state leaders like Rajnath Singh,Kalraj Mishra,Vinay Katiyar,Lalji Tandon and UP unit chief Surya Pratap Shahi will attend the meet. National party president Nitin Gadkari is also expected to be present.
According to sources in the party,office-bearers of various cells and members of the state committee have also been asked to participate in the two-day meeting.
This will be the first big meeting in the New Year,where all state and central leaders will sit together and decide the partys strategy. The progress of the Gaon Chalo campaign,which is currently under way in Uttar Pradesh,will also feature in the discussions, said spokesperson Vijay Bahadur Pathak. Since planning for the 2012 Assembly elections in the state has already begun,the meet will decide as to how various cells will work towards strengthening the party,he added. The meeting may also decide on reshuffling responsibilities among state leaders,said a leader.
