Armed miscreants, including a Samajwadi Party leader, allegedly murdered three youths late on Thursday night at the Naini industrial area in Trans Yamuna.

Around half a dozen miscreants led by SP leader and former block pramukh Dilip Mishra, attacked Dilip Nishad, his brother Asmanjan Nishad and friend Babloo Nishad around 1 am. The youths, who were returning from a wedding, were attacked with sharp-edged weapons. The miscreants also shot at them and hurled bombs.

Dilip Nishad was in the sand mining business and had rivalry with Dilip Mishra — a history-sheeter,said a police officer. The family of the victims also alleged that Mishra and his henchmen had executed the killings as they had enmity with Nishad over his business. Following the incident, sensing backlash,DIG Chandra Prakash reached the spot to take stock of the situation and also deployed heavy police force in the village.

On the complaint of Nishad’s wife, the Naini police have registered an FIR against Dilip Mishra,Bhuwar Nishad,Bhully,Mauji Nishad,Chandrama Nishad and Lal Bahadur Singh under Section 302 (murder) of the IPC.
