The Uttar Pradesh State Industrial Development Authority (UPSIDA) has started operating Shramik Suvidha Kendras in industrial areas to support entrepreneurs and workers. As part of this initiative, on September 17, a Shramik Suvidha Kendra became operational at the Industrial Area, Sarojini Nagar, Lucknow, a statement issued on Friday said.

The Kendra provides multiple facilities to entrepreneurs and workers, including job-related registration, and assistance and guidance on enrolment, form-filling and procedures for ESI and EPF, it said.

Through these centres, entrepreneurs can also access details of civil, electrical and sanitation works carried out in industrial areas and obtain information about the agencies executing them. Skilled and unskilled workers can register for employment opportunities and participate in future recruitment and placement processes, the statement said.

UPSIDA CEO Shri Mayur Maheshwari said, “This initiative will provide workers with a clean, safe and respectful environment, thereby increasing their productivity and morale. Our aim is to equip all industrial areas of the state with modern infrastructure as well as a supportive and worker-friendly environment. This initiative will benefit both industries and workers.”
