The postmortem report of the 12-year-old girl, who died soon after she was taken to her home from her school in unconscious state on Monday, has revealed intestine damage, haemorrhage and high-level shock from forced unnatural sex as the causes of her death.
Following the disclosure, the police have removed the charge of rape, and added charges of murder and unnatural sex in the case against unknown offenders. Angry over the police failure to track down the culprits, the family members of the girl held a demonstration outside the postmortem lab and blocked traffic movement for 20 minutes. The postmortem was carried out by a panel of four doctors. They said the girl died following loss of blood and injuries suffered because of forced unnatural sex.
Kanpur DIG Prem Prakash said: It appears the guilty person is a psychiatric case. It is a brutal crime, and he will not be spared. He said the police was collecting details of all those who were present in the school on Monday. Although the incident took place when the school was open, the police have failed to make any headway in the case.
The Circle Officer of Kalyanpur police station, Laxmi Niwas Mishra, said: In the last 24 hours,we have questioned 13 persons from the private school, but all of them have denied having any information about the incident. The victim was a Class VI student of Bharti Gyan Sthali School. She was left in unconscious condition on a cot outside her Roshan Nagar residence by two school maids. The girls mother Sonu Singh Bhadoria, who is a security guard at a shopping mall in the Bada Chauraha area, was at work at that time.
When Sonu reached her residence on getting the information, she found her daughter unconscious. Also, the girl had left in the morning in school uniform, but was now dressed in different clothes and her uniform was found blood-stained and stuffed in her school bag. Sonu and her brother rushed the girl to a hospital, but she died on the way.
During investigation, the police found blood marks on three benches that had been joined together in a classroom in the private school. The police then sealed the school building.
