Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to visit his Lok Sabha constituency Varanasi on March 24 to inaugurate several projects and lay foundation stones for several other projects worth Rs 2,000 crore, said sources in the Uttar Pradesh government.
The Prime Minister is also likely to inaugurate an international summit at Rudraksha Convention Centre in Varanasi to mark World TB Day.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath would be camping in Varanasi on March 17 and 18 to review various development works and take stock of the preparedness before the Prime Minister’s visit, said sources. The PM is also likely to address a public meeting, where he will dedicate several projects to the public and lay the foundation stones of some other projects worth over Rs 2,000 crore.
The PM is likely to lay foundation stones for projects such as construction of a ropeway, the construction of an international stadium, setting up of a sewage treatment plant and various drinking water schemes. He is also likely to inaugurate irrigation and drinking water projects and infrastructure upgradation projects of police stations and police lines, among others, said sources.
