Krishna Janmabhoomi-Shahi Idgah (Expess Photo)The Allahabad High Court has reopened the case for the maintainability of suits of Krishna Janmabhoomi-Shahi Idgah dispute in Mathura after the counsel for Shahi Idgah Masjid moved an application requesting to be heard and prayed for the video recording of the court proceedings.
The court has fixed June 4 to hear the application filed by advocate Mehmood Pracha.
On Friday, as the single bench of Justice Mayank Kumar Jain reserved the verdict on the maintainability of suits after hearing the two sides, an application was filed on behalf of the management committee of Shahi Idgah Masjid, urging the court to “issue appropriate directions to ensure that the right of an audience through video-conferencing of Mehmood Pracha, whose vakalatnama is on the record, is not obstructed in any manner”.
“…in order to do complete justice in the matter, this Court feels appropriate to provide an opportunity to Mehmood Pracha to address the court through video-conferencing,” Justice Jain said in the order.
