Hindu Jagran Manch, a wing of the RSS, deferred its meeting scheduled for Sunday to draw up a strategy to revive its campaign against alleged ‘love jihad’. The outfit’s newly appointed UP vice-president, Ajju Chauhan, was scheduled to chair the meeting in Agra. Chauhan said the meeting concerning ‘love jihad’ will now be held next month. [related-post] “Today morning, it was decided to defer the meeting because the campaign on love jihad has to start from July. Thus, a meeting to discuss its preparations could be held later,” Chauhan said. He added: “But we have to prepare on priority for a campaign demanding the implementation of the Uniform Civil Code. Manch workers will have to submit memorandums, addressed to President Pranab Mukherjee, to district magistrates across the state Monday and Tuesday for this.”
