State parliamentary affairs minister Azam Khan said Thursday that governments are formed on “emotional slogans”. The issue came up in the Assembly during Zero Hour when opposition moved adjournment notice over poor law and order situation in the state.

In his reply, Azam remarked: “Those who are raising the law and order issue are themselves not convinced. For the past 37 years, governments have been formed on emotional slogans. People are fed up and individuality has replaced humanity.”

“We have done a lot for people but still when we sit, we discuss whether we would form the next government or not, he said, and stated that it’s “God who decides things (such as) aulad, rozi and bhavishya (child, income and future)…or else Modi would not have been the country’s Prime Minister.”

Azam stressed that if individual relations get better, law and order would automatically improve. “Earlier, small issues were sorted out by elders but now no one listens to them.” He also targeted the PM for welcoming Dubai prince by “breaking all protocol”. “Dubai is a small country but he went to welcome the Shahzada of registan (desert). Earlier, he went to Pakistan. God forbid if anything had happened…,” he said.
