District chess tourney from August 20

The Lucknow District Chess Championship 2010 will be organised under the aegis of Lucknow District Chess Sports Association from August 20 to 22 at KD Singh ‘Babu’ Stadium,Lucknow. Players selected from this championship will be participating in the state chess championship to be held at Kanpur from August 27. Cross-country race
A 5-km long cross country race will be organised by the Regional Sports Office,Lucknow at 6.30 am on August 15— on the occasion of the Independence Day. The race will be flagged off from the main gate of the KD Singh ‘Babu’ Stadium. Those interested in taking part in the race should get their names registered at the Regional Sports Office between 11.00 am to 3.00 pm latest by August 14 and should contact there for details.
