Death of schoolgirl in Ayodhya: Probe on, waiting for forensic test report, say police
The girl student died of severe injuries on Friday and her family has alleged that she was raped by two teachers of the school and later thrown from the terrace of the school building.

Two days after a class X student died at a prominent private school in Ayodhya district, police on Sunday said their investigation was on and samples have been sent for forensics tests.
While police have constituted an SIT (Special Investigation team), they are yet to make an arrest in the case.
The 15-year-old girl student died of severe injuries on Friday and her family has alleged that she was raped by two teachers of the school and later thrown from the terrace of the school building.
An FIR was registered on Saturday under IPC sections 376-D (gangrape), 302 (murder), 201 (causing disappearance of evidence of offence, or giving false information to screen offender), 120-B (criminal conspiracy), and under sections of the POCSO Act.
Besides the woman school principal, two staff members, including the games teacher, have been named in the FIR, the police said.
Speaking to The Indian Express on Sunday evening, Ayodhya Additional Superintendent of Police (City) Madhuvan Singh said, “All I can say is the investigation is ongoing. Some samples were collected during the post mortem analysis on Saturday, and they have been sent to the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) for further analysis. The report will come in a couple of days… We are analysing all the CCTV footage and have questioned several people working at the school in connection with the incident.”
Police had on Saturday said that the “post-mortem report did not confirm rape and that the girl suffered four to five injuries, including head and femur bone”. Police had said that the injuries seem to be related to the fall.
“All the injuries in the post-mortem report are ante mortem. All injuries are due to the girl falling from the terrace. The cause of death in the report is shock and haemorrhage as a result of ante-mortem injuries. We have constituted an SIT,” Ayodhya police said in a statement.
In the complaint with the police, the girl’s father alleged that the school principal called his daughter to the school on Friday, a holiday, “as part of a conspiracy”. “Two teachers who were present there raped my daughter and then to hide the incident threw her from the terrace of the school building. She was badly injured and died during treatment,” the complaint read.
