Couple shot at on busy Noida road,one held

“I saw the Scorpio approaching us. Scared,I started riding on the wrong side of the road and the Scorpio followed us. Laddan,who was driving the car,hit our motorcycle and shot at us,” Hussain said.

He alleged that Laddan had been harassing his wife for some time. Police,however,said Laddan knew the couple for more than four years. He had recently sold one of his properties to them for Rs 13 lakh,said Anant Dev,Superintendent of Police (City) Noida.

“Laddan had been asking for money for the property he had sold to the couple. The couple refused to pay him and secured the property in their name,” Dev said.

Hussain suffered a bullet injury in the back; his wife,Meena,was hit in the stomach and is in a critical condition.
