Cops suspended for dereliction of duty

In a surprise inspection,Uttar Pradesh DGP Deo Raj Nagar found four persons kept in illegal custody at Bangarmau police station of Unnao district on Thursday evening.

He also found serious lapses in maintenance of general diary and the duty register of the police station besides other irregularities.

Taking serious note of the dereliction,the DGP on Friday ordered suspensions of Bangarmau SHO Anjani Kumar Rai,Senior Sub-Inspector Vijay Kumar and duty clerk Chandra Pal Singh with immediate effect.
