Centre intends to shut Jauhar univ: Azam

The chancellor and founder of Rampur-based Mohammad Ali Jauhar University and Uttar Pradesh Parliamentary Affairs Minister Mohammad Azam Khan claimed that the central government intends to shut down the institution.

The chancellor and founder of Rampur-based Mohammad Ali Jauhar University and Uttar Pradesh Parliamentary Affairs Minister Mohammad Azam Khan claimed that the central government intends to shut down the institution.

“When the BSP was in power in the state,my opponents had tried to demolish the university building with a bulldozer,and now,the Congress wants to get the university shut,” Khan told media persons here on Monday.

Challenging the government to bring the university down,Khan said “The matter comes under the jurisdiction of the Home Ministry…let the government do whatever it can.”

Khan claimed that the Union Minister of State for Home Affairs RPN Singh may influence the government on the issue.
