As ransom calls keep coming,DNA test for abducted boys body
The Lucknow police have sent the blood samples of the parents of Ashish Pandey,a Class 2 student of City Montessori School,who was allegedly kidnapped and murdered last month,for DNA profiling in order to scientifically establish that the decomposed body recovered from Mirzapur forests was of the boy.

The Lucknow police have sent the blood samples of the parents of Ashish Pandey,a Class 2 student of City Montessori School,who was allegedly kidnapped and murdered last month,for DNA profiling in order to scientifically establish that the decomposed body recovered from Mirzapur forests was of the boy. The family members of the boy are still receiving ransom calls even after the body of the boy was recovered.
Manak Nagar Station Officer Sudhir Kumar said the experts from the forensic science laboratory have taken the blood sample of Ashishs father Ratnesh Pandey and mother Sangeeta to match it with the DNA sample of the decomposed body. He said the forensic experts had taken the sample of hair and teeth of the body on the day of recovery from Mirzapur by the police.
Kumar said the family members of Ashish had been receiving the ransom calls even after the dead body was recovered and one of the three main accused was arrested. He added that the calls,however,stopped after the arrest of the second accused,Pawan,but the police were preparing the DNA profile of the body to get it scientifically confirmed.
Sangeeta said that they had received some calls earlier but there have been no such calls recently in the last three days. Ratnesh said the body recovered was completely decomposed. However,the accused persons have confessed that they killed Ashish and now the DNA test will also confirm this,he said.
According to police,7-year-old Ashish was kidnapped from outside his school in Manak Nagar area. A body was recovered from the Mirzapur forest on September 29 after the police arrested one of the three accused,Mukesh Kumar,who reportedly told the police that he along with his two friends had killed Ashish and dumped his body in Mirzapur.
Later,police arrested another accused,Pawan,from Charbagh police station area on October 7. According to police,Pawan confessed that he along with Mukesh and Guddu,who is still absconding,kidnapped Ashish from outside his school and later killed him fearing that they might get caught by the police.
