After the district-level protest against inflation turned out to be a dampener for the state BJP,the party is all set to ensure that the Assembly level protests have an impact with the masses.
The party will begin its Assembly-level protests from February 7,which will continue till February 15. The party in-charges have been asked to ensure there are at least 10 to 15 meetings in all the constituencies with at least one senior leader present in them.
State party leaders met national party president Nitin Gadkari on Friday,who asked them to gear up to revive the party in the state. The party Central unit will scrutinise the week-long protest.
State vice-president and spokesperson H N Dixit said senior leaders have already been assigned their respective Assembly constituencies,which will be monitored by them. We will try and tell the masses about the reasons behind the inflation, said Dixit.
According to him,the target is around 4,000 meetings,and each constituency will see a minimum of 10 public meetings and protest marches. The Assembly campaign will conclude with a state-level protest in Lucknow on February 25.
