Badaun police on Sunday arrested three youths for allegedly raping a minor Dalit girl in Udhaiti police station limits in the district on Friday evening. The FIR was registered on Saturday afternoon by the girl’s father. [related-post] Three youths, all students of Class X, are held accused of raping and wrongfully confining the girl at the house of one of them. All three accused — belonging to scheduled caste — are the victim girl’s neighbour, said Badaun’s Additional Superintendent of Police, Balendra Bhushan. Medical examination of the victim has been done and its report is awaited. Station Officer, Udhaiti police station, Wahid Khan said the victim’s father has alleged that on Friday evening, the three accused entered his house when his daughter was alone and began misbehaving with her. He added that they later took his daughter to a house adjacent to his home, and which belongs to one of them, and raped her. The complainant said the family learnt about the matter when she raised an alarm for help. By the time they reached there, the accused had escaped, police was told. The police officer added that the medical examination has confirmed that all three accused are above 18 years old.
