In an attempt to boost the Youth Congress membership drive in Bengal,Rahul Gandhi will interact with youths at nine different places in the state,address separate conventions for minorities,Scheduled Castes,Scheduled Tribes and women during his three-day visit from September 14. Gandhis Bengal tour will cover the entire state from Jalpaiguri to Basirhat in North 24-Parganas and Garden Reach in South 24-Parganas to Visva Bharati in Santiniketan. He will also visit politically sensitive areas like Garbeta in West Midnapore. Gandhi wants to reach out to each specific community and galvanise the support base from each section. Youth Congress leaders,who have been camping in the state for the last few months,say that the attempt is to reach to every part of the state and touch each community. Announcing the schedule for Gandhis second round of visit,Vijay Inder Singla,MP and in-charge of the Youth Congress drive in Bengal,said that the programme will involve interaction between Gandhi and potential candidates from each Lok Sabha constituency. Gandhi will start his visit from the Visva Bharati University campus on September 14.
