Only select PSUs to execute govt work, says West Bengal Govt

As per a notification issued by the state finance department, government work has to be executed through the West Bengal Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation, Mackintosh Burn Limited and the Hooghly River Bridge Commissioners and Development Authorities under the Urban Development department. The Sundarbans Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited could be engaged for execution of projects in Sundarbans areas only. The finance department would also select other state organisations or corporations “from time to time”, the notification said.
