A former Trinamool Chhatra Parishad (TMCP) leader has filed a police complaint accusing the leaders of the TMC’s student outfit of using Artificial Intelligence (AI) to “spread indecent, morphed images” of her.
The complaint was lodged at the Sonarpur police station on Saturday, nearly two weeks after she initially spoke out about the alleged harassment.
The complainant was expelled from TMCP a year ago.
On June 29, she alleged that TMCP leaders used AI to create and circulate morphed, semi-nude photographs of her among the junior students.

In her complaint, the woman mentioned that the distorted images were also disseminated on social media with “the intent to tarnish her personal and political image”.
Along with the complaint, she submitted several alleged morphed images to the police, stating that some individuals are trying to pass them off as real to malign her reputation. While the complainant did not name any individuals in her complaint, she informed police that she is prepared to identify the accused, if requested. She has also urged the police to conduct a forensic analysis to determine the authenticity of the pictures and requested prompt action on her complaint, assuring full cooperation with the investigation.
The police are yet to issue a statement on the incident.
