The traffic police on Saturday intercepted Trinamool Congress MP and actress Satabdi Roy’s car on the Jatindra Mohan Avenue and penalised the driver on finding that the car had film-coated glass.

“Roy was not in the car. It was a red beacon car hired from a travel agency. We prosecuted the driver and charged a fine of Rs 100,” said a senior traffic police officer.

The move was a part of the Traffic Police’s ongoing drive against cars with tinted and film-coated glasses.
