Centre must act on ‘armed’ camps: Katiyar

The BJP national vice-president Vinay Katiyar said if Union Home Minister P Chidambaram is aware of armed camps of CPM in various parts of state then he should act.

The BJP national vice-president Vinay Katiyar said if Union Home Minister P Chidambaram is aware of armed camps of CPM in various parts of state then he should act. At the concluding session of a three-day training programme of BJP in the city on Sunday,Katiyar said: “If the Home minister is aware of the armed CPM camps they should immediately act on this. The CPM is using the Maoist problem in their own way and the UPA in their own way and in this, the people of Bengal are suffering.” The BJP leader said earlier, the Left and Congress formed the government jointly and now it is the Congress and the Trinamool so things make little difference. Criticising the state government for reserving ten per cent government jobs for minorities,he said: “If you reserve ten per cent seats for Muslims, what remains? There is already a considerable amount of reservation under various categories.” Reminding his audience that Sardar Patel and even Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar opposed reservation on religious grounds,he declared that the state BJP will protest against the 10 per cent reservation. The party will observe a Black Day on September 22,when the CM is to hold a cabinet meeting to pass the 10 per cent reservation for minorities.
