The three-day training programme of state BJP workers concluded on Sunday where they had to undergo a rigorous schedule that included a written test. Issues like the Present National Scenario and BJP,Infiltration and Refugee Problem,Election Management,to name a few,were dealt at the workshop. Our party functionaries will go to the districts and tell people about the failures of the Left Front government that has ruled the state for 34 years and the failures of Congress-Trinamool Congress coalition at the Centre, said Vinay Katiyar on the sidelines of the concluding ceremony at the Salt Lake Stadium. According to the senior BJP leaders,the party workers including the district presidents were asked to answer questions on Failures of the Left Front government,Failures of UPA II and Achievement of NDA Regime. About 200 party functionariers appeared in the written test,and a report on this will be sent to central leadership,said Pratap Banerjee,convenor of the training cell. The training programme Pravesh Parikshan Varga- 2010 will also be conducted at each district level,which is scheduled to be completed by the end of this year. The party has devised a three-tier examination structure at the national level that is aimed at ascertaining the knowledge and commitment of BJP workers. The first stage called Pravesh was initiated for the first time in West Bengal,while the other other tiers Pradat and Praveen will be scheduled in the state later. The leaders confided that the idea of a 3-stage training programme has been borrowed from Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangha. We are trying to galvanise our support base and inform our workers and functionaries about our strategy. This is also significant as we are gearing up for elections next year, said Rahul Sinha,state BJP president.
