“An FIR was registered on July 2 about the disappearance of two minor girls. Police conducted an investigation and found the girls and also arrested the accused. During investigation it came up that one scene of crime was in Jaipur. The SHO concerned went with the accused to Jaipur to inspect the alleged scene of crime. It came up during investigation that the scene of crime is a shelter run by former minister Rajendra Gudha ji, where people coming for treatment in hospitals stay. These are only primary facts and we can’t confirm anything,” Jodhpur Rural SP Dharmendra Singh had told reporters on Thursday.

Gudha was not at home when the police team reached his house on Thursday.

Speaking to reporters later, Gudha said that he had came to know about the incident from the media and said that he has no knowledge about the alleged rape case, and neither did he know the accused. Gudha said that he is willing to cooperate with the police.

Speaking to The Indian Express on Friday, Jodhpur rural SP Singh clarified that the police team that went to Jaipur didn’t go to question Gudha.
