30 cases against him, Karni Sena chief Gogamedi wrote 3 letters for security
As per the FIR lodged based on the complaint by his wife Sheela Shekhawat, Gogamedi had sought security on February 24, March 1 and March 25 this year.

Slain history-sheeter and chief of Shri Rashtriya Rajput Karni Sena (SRRKS) Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi had written to top police officials of Rajasthan thrice seeking security in view of threats.
As per the FIR lodged by his wife Sheela Shekhawat, Gogamedi had sought security on February 24, March 1 and March 25 this year. However, no security was provided even after Punjab Police alerted Rajasthan Police about a threat to Gogamedi’s life by members of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang in February. Sheela said that “despite so many inputs, security was intentionally not provided to him by Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, the DGP and other responsible officials.”
The FIR in Gogamedi’s murder has been lodged against Rohit Rathore and Nitin Fauji under IPC sections 302 (murder), 307 (attempt to murder), 323 (voluntarily causing hurt), 341 (wrongful restraint), 452 (house-trespass after preparation for hurt, assault), 34 (acts done by several persons in furtherance of common intention), 120B (criminal conspiracy), 427 (mischief and thereby causes loss or damage to the amount of fifty rupees or more) as well as three sections each of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967, and Arms Act 1959.
As per documents accessed by The Indian Express, Gogamedi himself had 30 cases against him. The first case against Gogamedi goes back to 1994 when he was named in an FIR in his hometown Bhadra in Hanumangarh under IPC sections 366 (kidnapping, abducting or inducing woman to compel her marriage) and 363 (punishment for kidnapping). He was acquitted in this case in 2005.
Most cases in a year – six – were lodged against him in 1998 and 2017, four in 1995, three in 2002, two each in 2001 and 2016, and one each in 1996, 1999, 2007, 2008, 2019 and 2020. At least two of these cases are being investigated by CID – Crime Branch of Rajasthan Police and one by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).
The cases against him include two murder cases, five attempt-to-murder cases (one case has sections for both murder and attempt to murder), apart from charges of kidnapping, robbery, dacoity, rioting, extortion, impersonation of a public servant, assault against a public servant, theft, criminal intimidation, sexual harassment, house trespass, mischief by fire or explosive substance with intent to cause damage to amount of one hundred (IPC 435), promoting enmity between different groups on grounds of religion, race, etc. apart from multiple charges of assault.
Some of these cases also included charges under the Arms Act (1959), Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act (1985), Prevention of Damage to Public Property Act, (1984), The National Highways Act (1956) and the Information Technology Act (2000).
There was one rape case against him in Jaipur where an FIR was lodged in 2016 under IPC section 344 (wrongful confinement for 10 days or more) as well as 376D (gangrape). He was, however, acquitted in this case in 2022. Overall, he has been acquitted in at least 15 of his 30 cases.
Most of these cases were lodged in Hanumangarh, Haryana, Jaipur and Nagaur.
