Bhupendra Patel govt celebrates 100 days in office

The Bhupendra Patel government in the state celebrated its 100 days in office at a function in Swarnim Sankul I building on Wednesday.

Patel and his cabinet ministers were sworn in as Chief Minister and ministers respectively on December 12 2022, after a historic victory in Gujarat Assembly elections by winning record 156 seats.

To celebrate the 100 days in office, Patel addressed a function at Narmada Hall of Swarnim Sankul I. The CM also released a booklet containing various initiatives of his government.

Speaking on the occasion, the CM said, “Because of development reaching the poorest person through various government schemes, everyone has got confidence that BJP, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, will deliver what it promises.”

The CM mentioned a number of initiatives of his government in its second edition such as demolition of encroachments at pilgrim places, increasing coastal security, zero tolerance towards narcotic drugs and a campaign against the same, law against those indulging in paper leaks, making Gujarati compulsory from Class 1 to 8, holding 4,000 Lok Darbars to weed out loan sharks and giving loans worth Rs 250 crore under the PM Swanidhi Yojana.

The CM also mentioned other decisions such as increasing the income limit from Rs 10,000 per month to Rs 15,000 per month for availing benefits under National Food Security Act and increasing the wages of labourers by 25per cent.

Patel also said that in the past 100 days, Gujarat has signed memorandum of understandings with industries worth Rs 90,000 crore. He added that an MoU has also been signed for setting up a green ammonia plant in Kutch.

Gujarat BJP chief and Navsari MP CR Paatil and all the ministers in the government were present along with the senior bureaucrats.
