Dozens of shots fired outside YouTuber Elvish Yadav’s home, FIR filed
No one was injured, said police, even as the bullets hit the first floor and stilt area of the three-storey residential building in Sector 56. Yadav lives on the second floor.

Three men riding a motorcycle allegedly fired more than two dozen shots outside the house of YouTuber Siddharth Elvish Yadav in Gurgaon early Sunday morning, said police.
The 27-year-old YouTuber was not at home when the incident happened. No one was injured, said police, even as the bullets hit the first floor and stilt area of the three-storey residential building in Sector 56. Yadav lives on the second floor.
“Initial findings suggest that the attack was carried out by three men riding a motorcycle,” a police spokesperson said, adding, “Further details are awaited as the police continue their probe into the motive and circumstances surrounding the incident.”
Hours after the incident, Bhau Gang, via a post on Instagram, claimed responsibility for the attack. The YouTuber was targeted, according to the post, as he promoted betting platforms. “Today the bullets that were fired at Elvish Yadav’s house were fired by us Neeraj Faridpur and Bhau Ritoliya… we have introduced ourselves to him. He has ruined many homes by promoting betting and all these social media bugs are being warned. If anyone is found promoting betting, he can get a call or a bullet at any time,” the post in Hindi read.
A police officer said they are looking into the authenticity of the post.
The Sector 56 Police Station has lodged an FIR on charges of attempt to murder, criminal acts by multiple accused with common intention, and offences under the Arms Act.

Expressing distress, Ram Avtar, Elvish Yadav’s father in his complaint to the police, said: “If we were outside (on the balcony) at that time, we could have lost our lives. We do not have any kind of enmity with anyone and neither have we received any call or message before this.”
He also urged the authorities to investigate the case seriously, arrest the culprits, and ensure the family’s safety.
The attack marks the second such incident in recent weeks targeting celebrities popular among the city’s youth. Last month, singer and rapper Rahul Fazilpuria allegedly came under fire near the Southern Peripheral Road in Sector 71. He escaped unhurt after assailants, arriving in another car, opened fire as he stood beside his SUV. Police later arrested a Sonipat resident accused of conducting reconnaissance for the shooting.
