Youth shot dead in Holi violence

A youth was shot dead in Noida while travelling in an office bus,after violence broke out when bus staff asked passengers to stop playing Holi.

According to police,23-year-old Kapil Sharma,a former employee of Motherson Sumi,was travelling in the company’s bus from Sector 6 to Muradnagar. Anant Deo Tiwari,SP (Noida City),said, “Some former employees of the company got into the bus and started flinging colours on the passengers. When the bus staff asked them to stop,they refused.”

The bus driver stopped the bus and asked them to get off,police said. “Offended by this,they started arguing with the bus staff,during which Sharma got shot in the stomach from close range,” Tiwari said.

Sharma was rushed to Kailash Hospital where he succumbed to injuries.
