Women accuse friends of rape,3 held

Two students of a degree college in Bulandshahr have accused two of their friends of gangrape.

According to the police,the women alleged that their friends,Deepak and Jeetendra alias Jeetu,lured them to their rented accommodation at NRI City in Greater Noida on Friday and then called two other men and gangraped them.

Following the complaint the police arrested Deepak,Jeetu and Prashant,while another accused,identified as Vikki,is absconding.

The women have been sent for medical examination,the police said.

The police said the victims lodged a complaint on Saturday morning after they managed to escape from the apartment where they were allegedly raped. In their complaint,the women said they did not know the other two men. The victims accused the four of raping them,the police said.

According to the police,Deepak is pursing a course in animation through Arena multimedia in Delhi and Jeetu worked as a sales manager in Reliance till a week ago. Prashant is pursuing BBA from IMT,Ghaziabad.

All accused are between 19 years and 20 years of age,the police said.

According to Superintendent of Police (Rural) Surendra Verma,search for the fourth accused is on. We have informed the parents of the women as well, he said.
