Will commence new term after CUET results: Jamia
The varsity has partially adopted the CUET system, using the scores for admission to 15 undergraduate courses and five master’s programmes.

Amid uncertainty over the Common University Entrance Test (CUET UG) results, Jamia Millia Islamia held a meeting with the deans of the varsity Thursday and decided that they will convene their undergraduate session after the results are announced by the National Testing Agency (NTA).
The varsity has partially adopted the CUET system, using the scores for admission to 15 undergraduate courses and five master’s programmes.
Jamia’s officiating Vice-Chancellor Shakeel Ahmed said: “We have been assured that the CUET results will be announced by the end of July or early August and we anticipate that though there is going to be a slight delay, it won’t drastically affect our academic calendar. Hence, it will be manageable for us to commence the academic session after the results are announced.”
The delay comes amid controversies over alleged paper leaks in other crucial exams such as NEET-UG and UGC-NET. The results were expected to be announced by June 30. The delay has also affected the academic calendar at other central universities including JNU and Delhi University.
