Two girls eve teased in Amar Colony

“Two bike borne persons eve-teased them and passed lewd comments. The two girls noted the number of the bike and registered a complaint with us and the matter was taken up immediately,” said a police officer.

A case has been registered against two unidentified persons at Amar Colony Police Station under sections 354 (Assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty) and 509 (Word, gesture or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman) of the IPC.

The police said that the duo stayed in Zamruddpur area in Greater Kailash, and had come to the city for better career opportunities.

According to the sources, the owner of the bike seemed to be a member of the youth wing of a political party. The police, however, said that they are investigating the matter and is yet to track the suspects.
