The opposition BJP kept up its pressure on state Law Minister Jitendra Singh Tomar after a university in Bihar said his provisional LLB certificate was fake. Protesting outside the residence of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, Ramesh Bidhuri, the BJP MP from South Delhi, urged the party cadre to flood the government helpline 1031 with complaints against Tomar. “I urge party workers to continuously dial and lodge complaints on the anti-corruption helpline no. 1031. Let the government take action or investigate the degrees of the minister,” he said. [related-post] BJP workers, led by state chief Satish Upadhyay, too demonstrated outside Kejriwal’s residence, seeking the dismissal of Tomar. Upadhyay said the Kejriwal government had let down the political system. “It is surprising to see that a man who professes morality has a minister with an alleged bogus degree, a minister who is an alleged land grabber while a third has been accused of giving patronage to the mafia. The BJP will not let this government, in which ministers and even MLAs are spreading anarchy, go scot free,” he said. Tilka Manjhi Bhagalpur University in Bihar told the Delhi High Court that the provisional certificate of Tomar’s “LLB studies” was “fabricated”.
