The motive behind the crime was to seek revenge against the victim’s employer, DCP (North West) Bhisham Singh said.
On how the case came to light, DCP Singh said, “On Thursday at about 9:30 pm, the beat staff of Adarsh Nagar police station noticed an unconscious woman with stab injuries to her chest. She was later identified as Nirmala alias Bengalan (30), a resident of Khajuri Khas. She was declared brought dead at the hospital.”
The injured woman was identified as Firozi (30), also a resident of Khajuri Khas, Singh added.
According to the police, investigations revealed that both women worked for a man named Alam, who had allegedly assaulted the wife of one Vicky (28) a few days earlier. Enraged, Vicky, along with his friends aged 18 and 17, went to the scene on Thursday night searching for Alam, officers said.

Firozi was shifted to Babu Jagjivan Ram Memorial Hospital (BJRM) Hospital and later referred to Lok Nayak Jai Prakash Narayan Hospital (LNJP) for treatment, police added.
