“The incident occurred on Thursday morning when Vishal had gone to buy engine oil for his motorbike. Residents heard him scream and rushed to the spot to find him unconscious,” a police officer said.

Angered by the incident, the boy’s family blocked traffic for several hours in the area and demanded action against BSES, as it is responsible for supplying power in the area. They alleged that despite three complaints to the power company’s office, no action was taken by them.

Police have registered a case of negligence. After registering the case, police have started their probe and few persons have already been questioned. Family members threatened to stage a protest if police failed to take any action.

Vishal lives with his father Bhagwan Singh, mother Lajwanti, two sisters and a brother.
