Teacher twisted boy’s nose in Gurgaon: NCPCR takes cognisance

The National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) on Friday sent a notice to the Gurgaon administration after the sports teacher of Meenakshi Public School in Sector-10 allegedly twisted the nose of a nine-year-old student when the latter defeated him in a game of chess.

The National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) on Friday sent a notice to the Gurgaon administration after the sports teacher of Meenakshi Public School in Sector-10 allegedly twisted the nose of a nine-year-old student when the latter defeated him in a game of chess. NCPCR member Vinod Kumar Tikko said: “The commission has taken cognisance of the matter. It has asked for a reply within 15 days. Action will be taken depending on the report.” Though the school dismissed the incident as “a misunderstanding” and that the matter had been sorted out,the child’s uncle had alleged that the Class V boy bled profusely.
