Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address six rallies in Delhi, covering all but one parliamentary constituency. Party sources said the rallies will put an end to the speculations that Modi will not be able to spare time for Delhi because of his packed schedule owing to US President Barack Obama’s Republic Day visit and the PM’s planned tour to Britain. Apart from Modi, BJP has planned to unleash 48 of its star campaigners, including the party’s national president Amit Shah, Kiran Bedi, L K Advani, Rajnath Singh, Sushma Swaraj, Arun Jaitley and Harsh Vardhan, among others. Several BJP chief ministers and former filmstars such as Hema Malini and Vinod Khanna will also hold rallies, besides all of the party’s seven Delhi MPs. “It’s a shock-and-awe strategy. As AAP candidate list is out, they have begun campaigning. Our list will be out on January 19. Once the candidates are announced, party will not leave a single place where BJP will not be visible,” said a senior BJP leader.
