Passengers await information about their flights.Delhi Airport witnessed crowding and delays on Wednesday as the servers of some airlines suffered an outage in terminals 2 and 3, officials said. “Few airlines are currently experiencing a technical glitch for check-in processes,” the Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA) said in a statement.
According to sources, Air India servers were down between 3.30 pm and 4.30 pm.
“A third-party connectivity network issue had impacted check-in systems at some airports, thereby delaying flight departures of some airlines, including Air India. The system has since been restored. However, some of our flights may continue to be delayed for some time as the situation normalises progressively. Passengers flying with us today may check their flight status on https://airindia.com/in/en/manage/flight-status.html before heading to the airport and allow extra time for their journey,” the airline said in a statement.
“Be aware that all operations are back to normal, and passengers can proceed with their travel plans as usual,” Delhi Airport posted at 6.39 pm.
