Delhi school student forced into car at gunpoint; police foil kidnapping bid and apprehend 4 boys

In his statement to the police, the victim stated that the motive stemmed from an earlier argument between him and two other students.

According to the FIR, which The Indian Express has accessed, the victim received a threatening call from the elder brother of one of the students he had a tiff with. The caller allegedly stated, “I will kill all of you outside the school. I have committed many murders.”

On Friday, the caller allegedly called the victim again via a group call around 1.22 pm and spoke of settling the dispute but said, “(The victim’s) fielding is set.” A subsequent call told the victim, “Come out of the school today, and I will see you.”

After school was dismissed, the victim said he saw his schoolmate, his brother (the caller), and their friends arrive in three cars. While one vehicle was identified as a black Scorpio with a number plate, the other two reportedly bore no number plates.

According to the victim’s statement, one of the boys “grabbed me by my collar, placed a pistol on my waist,” and forcibly dragged him into the black Scorpio. Once inside, they allegedly threatened to take the boy to Noida, kill him, and ensure his body would not be found by his family.

By this time, the victim’s father had called the police. The police rushed to the location near the school and rescued the victim.

The police reported that the car, the boys, and the weapons were recovered from the spot. They also checked CCTV footage and conducted
inquiries.

The police are verifying the ages of the accused boys before taking further action.
