Last week,a division bench of acting Chief Justice Jasbir Singh and Justice Rakesh Kumar Jain had requested Justice Mudgal to visit the Gurgaon-Delhi Expressway and submit his report on the “revolutionary steps” to be taken by the concessionaire,Delhi Gurgaon Super Connectivity Limited (DGSCL).

On September 4,the High Court had stopped collection of toll at the plaza after noting long traffic snarls at the point. Last week,it lifted the stay on toll collection from commercial vehicles.

Private vehicles, however, are still allowed to cross the toll plaza without paying tax.

The report also mentions that the hand held devices, suggested by DGSCL for collection of toll, need to be integrated with the central server (through GPRS).
