President Droupadi Murmu to inaugurate UP International Trade Show today; Noida metro increases frequency of trains

President of India Droupadi Murmu will inaugurate the UP International Trade Show today. The trade show will be held at India Expo Centre and Mart, Greater Noida from September 21 to September 25.

In the wake of the show, Noida Metro Rail Corporation (NMRC) has increased the frequency of metro trains till September 25. Metro trains will be available every 7.5 minute from 8 am to 10 pm. Earlier, the normal timing of the train was 6 am to 10 pm and its frequency was 10 minutes during non-peak hours.

NMRC’s Managing Director Dr Lokesh M said the visitors can now travel on Aqua Line directly to reach the exhibition. The commuters can travel till Knowledge Park– II station of the Aqua Line which is the nearest Metro station to the venue. Parking facility is also available for public at eight Aqua Line metro stations namely; Sector 51, Sector 76, NSEZ, Sector 142, Sector-137, Pari Chowk, Alpha 1 and Delta 1.

More than 2,000 exhibitors from Uttar Pradesh will showcase their products in the trade show. Apart from this, crafts UP’s 12 cities will also be displayed in the ‘Hall of Town of Export Excellence’ in the International Trade Show complex.

Officials said that the exhibitors will be from multiple sectors including agriculture and horticulture, defense corridor, e-commerce, banking and financial services, education sector (University, Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics), infra, engineering and manufacturing, film sector, food processing and dairy products, GI tag products, handloom. Apart from this, people associated with other sectors such as handicrafts, textiles, tourism and hospitality sector, toy industry, warehouse and logistics, women enterprises will be present.

Regarding promotion of One District One Product (ODOP), officials said not only an exhibition will be organised, but a proper channel between business and customer (B2C) will also be developed, so that buyers can directly connect with the artisans and place orders for the products.
